Dale Englehorn’s life science illustrations and pastel paintings reflect her lifelong study of and keen affinity for the natural world; Dale’s works have been published and exhibited since 1991. She enjoys teaching nature field journaling classes as a means of discovery and connection to nature via carefully observed renderings. Recent formal study in oil painting provided Dale with the fundamentals and inspiration to create a body of more impressionistic works.” Oil painting is a great way to explore that which is both energetically alive and ineffable… the way oil paint slides across the surface of a canvas in an immediate and often messy way that allows mistakes to be quickly painted out and transformed into something fresh and authentically vibrant”. Dale works and resides in Santa Rosa, California.
